mytini
personal
martini kit
package design
The project was to create a fictitious product, give it a name, create a logo and design its package. I decided on a personal miniature martini kit. I made three flavors: dirty, pomegranate and orange. I chose the name Mytini to play off of the idea of it being a small, personal martini kit.
The idea was to explore a style of design that was unfamiliar to me and out of what I would ordinarily do. After much research. I chose to use abstraction and found inspiration, primarily, in the works of Loui Jover. I wanted the art to be whimsical and fun reflecting the target audience as it was defined as Millennial females ages 30-35. I used colors that would coordinate with the flavors of the martinis.
The logo style is that from the 1960s as martinis were very popular at that time and I wanted to pull from that classic, contemporary style. I used Remachine Script as a base typeface and modified the M to give it a more script-like appearance. I also gave the y a swirl on the tail and adjusted the iās to look different from each other, again, giving a more hand drawn feel.
