all about me
Well, since you clicked your way here you must have a burning desire to know all about me.
Ok, here it is.
I’ve spent the last 18 years, 21 if you count grad school, working in the world of plant molecular and cellular biology at the University of Florida. Science has always been one of my passions. I’ve enjoyed my time there immensely but I am at a crossroads in life where I can continue on this path or turn a page to start a new career in what has always been a competing passion of mine, the arts. So, feeling a little like Alice, I jumped down the rabbit hole with both feet.
Prior to my career in science I pursued an A.S. degree in photography (using film) but, just prior to finishing switched to fine arts to pursue animation. It was near the end of this that I switched to science. But here I am again feeling the call of the arts.
The ink is still wet on my AS diploma from the graphic design program at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida and I’m eager to draw a new path. Having grown up in a Navy family I had the great fortune of seeing parts of the world many have not seen. I am also a little more seasoned than a typical graduate which gives me amazing emotional and temporal experiences on which to draw . So I will stash those incredible experiences in my quiver of life, ready to deploy, as I grow into this new career.
I am eager and ready to apply my new skills in magical ways and continue learning that which I have not learned as I feel I will always be a student of life.
