tri-fold brochure

The project was to identify a venue in Gainesville, Florida and make a tri-fold brochure for it. Downtown Wine & Cheese is frequented by upper level college students ages 24-28, primarily females. They cater to a crowd that is active late at night, is planning social gatherings, graduation parties and bridal showers. In addition, Downtown Wine & Cheese hosts wine tasting and wine classes.

The idea was to appeal to the sophisticated sensibilities of the young adult female crowd. The overall design was inspired by Art Deco since Art Deco represents sophistication and a time when the young were flirting with life and each other and had a celebratory outlook.

For the tri–fold a charcoal black color was chosen for a sophisticated look. I used Kismet NF typeface for the titles to create the Art Deco look along with gold Art Deco styled trim. Soft, focused light was used in the photos of the wine and chocolate to lend a romantic feel. Hand illustrated imagery complements the cozy, wine cellar, mom and pop feel of the venue.
