The project was to design playing cards. I chose two styles of art to emulate and mash-up. I chose Art Deco and Art Nouveau, specifically the style of Alphonse Mucha.

The idea was to use cats for the cards since there is such diversity of looks among felines to fill every position. A masculine lion filled the role as king, a regal, feminine, Siamese cat for queen and a trickster lynx for the jack.

A combination of colored pencil and Adobe Photoshop was used to complete the imagery.
